I have come to believe that everybody just wants to be loved. “Am I loved?” is a universal question. When I did an internet search: “I just want to be loved,” there were about 49, 800, 000 search results!

Some may deny it, and some may think that wanting to be loved is a weakness – something to deny and avoid. However, wanting to be loved is part of our makeup. We were designed and created to have loving relationships.

From the minute we are born, we need to know that someone loves us. Children’s development may be delayed if they don’t experience love. People who don’t feel loved may lack trust; have undeveloped emotional intelligence; and an impaired sense of self; as well as other mental health conditions Unloved in childhood – common effects on your adult self

I don’t know what your childhood was like, or whether you are feeling unloved right now.

You are loved!

I’ve written a few blogs about love: Happy Valentine’s Day! and What is Love?

Today, I just want to remind you again that God loves you with an unfailing love. Your friends, family, colleagues, health, body, memory, money, possessions, plans, reputation, achievements, hobbies, heroes, idols may fail you (they probably will), but God’s love for you will not fail.

‘Though the mountains be shaken, and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)

God’s love for you is unshakeable. He will never forget you or be too busy for you. God loves you!

God made you. God loves you. He desires a loving relationship with you.

We love, because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19 (NIV)
